Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She spent most of her youth listening to classical music and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs, as well older classical songs. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. She started singing and studying songs with her mother then began more intense singing training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. After moving in America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classical Latin American music at private occasions. As an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of music and art keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
